Throughout our history, First Commerce has believed in the power of financial literacy to change lives and communities for the better. To celebrate our 75th anniversary year in 2015, we launched the FCCU Foundation as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization to formalize our financial literacy efforts.
We strive every day to be our members’ financial partner for life – working with them individually on their changing needs and providing tools and guidance to help ensure their solid financial future. We also offer seminars on a variety of financial topics for our communities and various organizations, including unique partnerships with Tallahassee Community College, Florida A&M University, and Chipola College to offer SmartMoney seminars for students.
Our Kids Club and Smart Start accounts include educational elements to help children and young adults develop health financial skills. In addition, we partner with other organizations to provide financial literacy programs. One such example is First Commerce’s major ongoing support of Junior Achievement, which inspires and prepares young people to succeed in a global economy, for which we have provided major funding to expand. First Commerce provides contributions and volunteers to teach Junior Achievement programs in local schools throughout the year.
We’re inspired by the potential we see in our members and our communities, and we’re committed to helping you realize the power of you.
